Strange and Beautiful (I'll Put a Spell on You)- Aqualung

i have barely caught enough sleep this week.

anyhow, i had a great time in JB on wednesday. basically i spent quite a bit and the food was great and shear's place was so pretty!
i think the best bit, however (besides eating KFC at shear's), was jaywalking across and along the causeway. we thought there was a jam and shaun had the brilliant idea to walk back to singapore. so we did, and we found ourselves trapped between a fence and a long row of thorny bushes. i was so sure that my ass got scratched. but anyhow, we only got to the bushes because some old man tricked us into walking along the WRONG side of the causeway.

absolutely endearing.

not to mention that there wasn't a jam AT ALL. hahaa. i think we all looked quite silly in the middle of the causeway. it was fun anyhow. :D

last night was spent out; didn't get home till like 3am. i went to watch Chicken Little with the guys, then we had supper and went to wei long's place with some drinks. GOODNESS his neighbourhood looked right out the set of those Hong Kong ghost films. it was so peaceful, it was frightening. so they were talking about the murder cases which took place in the area we were in, and the man who got burnt alive, and the numerous people who committed suicide there (it was friggin' past midnight), which justified my blood-curdling scream when wei long hissed at my ear.

i was so tempted to skip school; i had morning class and i was exhausted. the tell-tale sign of me drinking on a school night is me wearing my glasses to class the next day. hahaha. i managed to get some work done, and honestly i don't know how i got through the day. i slept like 2 hours, and it got to the point where my head hurt and i was wide awake with irritated eyes.

that certainly contributed to being traumatized after watching Saw 2. it was so sick, but because of its perversity it was a really good film. the twist was really good.

i went home with nat just now and yes, i've finally admitted how stupid my problems are. and what a nincompoop i am at this game called 'mixed signals'.
i've already completed 34% of my 50-year journey through singlehood. not bad.

I've been watching your world from afar
I've been trying to be where you are
And I've been secretly falling apart

Unseen
To me, you're strange and you're beautiful
You'd be so perfect with me
But you just can't see
You turn every head but you don't see me

I'll put a spell on you
You'll fall asleep
When I put a spell on you
And when I wake you I'll be the first thing you see
And you'll realize that you love me

Yeah
Ye-ah

Sometimes the last thing you want comes in first
Sometimes the first thing you want never comes
But I know that waiting is all you can do
Sometimes

I'll put a spell on you
You'll fall asleep
When I put a spell on you
And when I wake you I'll be the first thing you see
And you'll realise that you love me

I'll put a spell on you
You'll fall asleep
Cause I put a spell on you
And when I wake you I'll be the first thing you see
And you'll realize that you love me
